Orlando Olmberg is the president and founder of the Suriname Energy Chamber (SEC). He was born in Suriname on the first of may 1970 and is the proud father of 3 daughters and a son.
Orando is the co-founder of a solar engineering company named Guguplex Technologies SAC. In 2012 the company won a project from the Inter American Development Bank (IDB) to accelerate the use of Solar Energy in Suriname. This project ended with a score of Excellence two years later and a fundamental growth in solar energy in Suriname.
On a regional level Orlando is the representative of the Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum ( CREF), which is the biggest renewable energy forum within the Caribbean. He is also the initiator of the Caribbean Energy Chamber.
